Keeping Your Tooth Brush Clean
Here at River Oaks Dentistry with Dr. Edwin Simpson we want you to have the cleaniest and healthiest mouth possible. That's why we want to take some time to inform you about how to keep your toothbrush clean and germ free. We have some facts for you below to help keep your toothbrush clean!
If you're going to be doing any travelling this year make sure to keep your toothbrush covered while it's packed in your bag, doing this can help make sure that no bacteria or dirt from other items in your bag. We recommend purchasing a tooth brush cover with small air holes in it. This will allow air to circulate and will prevent your tooth brush from getting moldy or mildewy during your travel time.
When you're at home though, we recommend that you leave your toothbrush uncovered in the upright position in a toothbrush holder, this will allow your tooth brush to air dry and prevent any mold or mildew from again growing on your toothbrush after you use it.
If you are still worried about keeping your toothbrush clean even while using the steps mentioned above you can also purchase tooth brush sanitizer. You should make sure to only purchase those that have been approved by the FDA. If you have any questions or concerns please dont' hesitate to call us we will be happy to assist you!
